monk222: (Primal Hunger)
Are my biorhythms shifting with the warmer weather? Is this the yearly routine with me? I know there is some kind of shifting, but I cannot recall if this is the pattern. I think it has had something to do with the weather. I now find myself needing to go to bed at eleven, instead of at one, and now I am actually having a five o'clock morning, which I was thinking was ancient history with me. However, this time, I was readily able to fall back asleep at 6:30 and salvage my night's sleep.

The cats are definitely enjoying a change. Now that the nights are warmer, they only come inside for a quick bite to eat, and they rush back out again, wanting to be in the moonlit outdoors as much as possible, where the wild things are.

Nancy Reagan died today at 94. She seemed to me to be the prop that held up an increasingly hollow Ronald Reagan, the spearhead of the counter-revolution to the New Deal. Liberal or Conservative, everybody might be able to agree on at least this much: Ron and Nancy could perhaps have won the prize for the most loving President and First Lady. She wrote in her memoirs of Reagan, “He was all I had ever wanted in a man, and more.”
