I haven't seen that cockroach in a long time.

Monk was getting his cinnamon rolls in the kitchen, when he thought he saw something streak across the counter in his peripheral vision. He was thinking 'cockroach' but he was not even sure if it was anything more than a quirk of his nerves. But he then saw the cockroach, just before it crawled into a cupboard, to crawl all over our cooking pans.

I guess it is a good thing that we got that spray-gun insecticide with the last groceries. We definitely need to spray an application of that around the house... one day soon, sometime.

Absent from the U.S. for so long that some thought they were a myth, bedbugs are back. Entomologists and pest control professionals are reporting a dramatic increase in infestations throughout the country, and no one knows exactly why.

I know I thought that the old, familiar bedtime well-wishing was just a sing-songy plaything. The story was freaking me out a bit. It is a creepy annoyance one just doesn't need. The ants are bad enough. At least, it does not seem like we are a favored striking ground for these bloodsuckers, for now.
