theministerscat, and since I feel that I owe Cat big, I will play along. The music meme is not especially embarrassing anyway, since one is used to the mockery that is heaped on Elvis fans, coming from the culturally deprived as it does.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to...
___ ___ ___
"Come Rain or Come Shine" by Don Henley remains big in Monk's heart, resonating as it does with those old dandelion dreams.
In time for the Christmas season, the extended version of Elvis's "Merry, Merry Christmas Baby" is blowing Monk away. SIRIUS's All-Elvis station has started playing it now, and Monk will not get tired of it before Christmas. Real bluesy, baby, down and dirty.
Truth be told, one will have to work to come up with the other five. One could just pick five more Elvis songs easily enough, but nothing really stands out. A couple of sappy non-Elvis songs are Stephen Bishop's "It Might Be You" and Boz Scaggs's "Look What You've Done To Me."
Recently, Monk also felt the need to rock out to Tom Jones's "Help Yourself" and Robert Palmer's "Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)."
Hmm, only one more by my count. Enjoying that biographical movie on Ray Charles, "Unchain My Heart" has Monk under its spell.
And I hope that Cat will not mind if I let others take the tag if they want it. Well, that was not so bad, but Monk will not be making a habit of this!
