Go me! I found my balls and called the hospital. They were under the bed behind a pile of books. Someone had actually called our number from there, and so I used that number, after confirming on the Internet that it was indeed the hospital.
It sounds as though Arthudo has actually improved. A little. He is conscious, and he apparently talks a bit, but he is supposedly not really very aware of anything.
I think the guy is a nurse, and not really an expert, so that I am not really sure what to make of this. When I asked if, in his unofficial opinion, Arthudo has a fifty-fifty chance of recovering, he only answered that he is getting a little better. Sooo, maybe things aren't fatal, but perhaps they are more ... complicated?
Arthudo has been out of it for over a week now. Can this go on for weeks longer? That could make life a little tricky. We have quite a bit of food in the house, but if I have to hold out beyond two more weeks, ummm ... I don't know. I might be on my last tube of crackers drinking tap water.
