I had to go back to my CDs overnight, as I struggled hard with my broken sleep. It's not because I am disenchanted with my Elvis audiobook. I am absolutely loving that. It's just that the Audible format is too inconvenient to use when I am lost somewhere between sleep and exhaustion. So, the routine might be Audible by day and CDs by night, in general.

Clicking on the TV this morning to check for news, I see William Bennett. I had a hard time recognizing him in his old age. Should I be surprised that he is a Trumper rather than a Never Trumper? Mr. Morality is for the "Grab Them By The Pussy" con-man fraudster. Even worse, he talks about how he is all for equality and anti-racial discrimination, but that the Democratic Party left him on these issues as it has become more leftist, whatever he means by that. Fortunately, Trump has taken up the banner of racial and economic equality! Cripes. I wonder how much of this is due to the show he now has on Fox. Maybe he just badly wants to be on TV, and the price for that is to be an active part of the propaganda machine. Or, maybe he really is just a greedy racist, after all.

It had been a while since I dealt the cards for a round of Solitaire, at least a couple of weeks. No, I am not quitting and pushing chess out of my life again. It only occurs to me that maybe a day-off now and again might not be such a bad idea - a little time apart.
