I guess, when I am happy in my reading life, I don't feel the need to write - that sense of an ache that needs to be filled. I guess you could say that writing is my last refuge to try to dig up a sense of meaningfulness in my day, churning up words to see what might stick, like the need to talk to a friend. ... ... There have been a lot of rumors about her health, a lot of them vicious from the Trump crowd, but we were able to largely blow them off, but then she practically faints leaving a 9/11 memorial event. It doesn't help the "never Trump" cause. In the middle of September, we are in the heat of the campaign season. She really does need to look normal soon, as opposed to looking like somebody who should be moving into an old folks' home rather than the White House. Trump is 70, but he looks very vital and strong - I wouldn't want to fight the man.
