That's something I can do in the morning. Even a chess video felt like too much. Then I remembered the old routine from long ago: to have my little breakfast while I get into my Internet stuff ... ... For somebody with no life, no job, no friends, no social obligation, I can feel terrifically over-busy. I need to water the patio strip, but it's late now, and tomorrow is grocery day. I couldn't do it yesterday because it was trash day. And I need to change the litter box. And I am behind on my grocery list. You might think that one advantage in my life is that I should never feel the pinch of a tight schedule. Not true, though. I cannot even handle the little life I have ... ... Actor Hugh Grant knows sex: "Do I think human beings are meant to be in 40-year-long monogamous, faithful relationships? No, no, no. Whoever said they were? Only the Bible or something. No one ever said that was a good idea. I think there's something unromantic about marriage. You're closing yourself off. I always admire the French and the Italians who are very devoted to their marriages. They take them extremely seriously, but it is understood that there might be other visitors at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. You just never boast about [it]. They never say anything, but that's what keeps marriages together." [ONTD] Daimon says, "Don't you tire of peeping on the lives of the rich & famous & beautiful?" Well, I mostly kept this because of my memory of the great scandal in the 90s, when Grant got busted with a black street hooker. It's a warm fuzzy place in my memory. Not even having a e-life in the 90s, not having the Internet yet, such news items often make up the only fond memories of those times ... ... I got Hobbes back in my reading life. Instead of rereading King Lear after my naps, I thought it might be richer to take up Hobbes's account of the English civil war ... ... Pop & Kay talk about how they would rather have Hillary than Trump in the White House. I suppose it's the novelty of the thing, and a lot of people probably feel that way. They just want more reality-TV. It's just entertainment to them ... ... Daimon says, "So, you have gone from chess videos and back to porn!" Sometimes there is nothing like a little Asian schoolgirl getting a quick lesson in the birds and the bees from some nurturing businessmen on the bus.
