One hopes that our Florida friends were able to avoid the worst of Hurricane Charley, one of the worst assaults in some time. Monk caught some discussion that, due to changing global/environmental conditions, hurricanes are expected to get worse in coming decades. One report claimed that the hurricane will cost fifteen-billion dollars to recover.
So traumatic was this natural disaster that some are reacting dramatically. Stephanie Rioux, whose family members have suffered bodily injuries in the tempest, says, "We are moving. We are going out of state."
