I have fallen into another little spell of quietude, haven’t I? That’s usually a good sign. When I am posting every day, and posting two, three or more times per day, then I am probably running a little mad in restlessness and frustration, and instead of doing something like play some Scrabble, I am playing “Let’s Make a Post”, in which I start riffing off anything around me, usually news items for which I can feign at least a remote interest. It’s sort of a cry for help, an SOS shot across the cyber skies of the Internet. When I am quiet and your Friends Pages are not flooded with the wisdom of Monk, then I am probably satisfactorily preoccupied with my reading life, musing on the big ideas, wondering if life is really worth living (in a philosophical kind of way). I’m good, as good as it gets.
