Apparently some of my friends didn't vote for my blog at the 2008 Weblog Awards. Whatever. If that's the way you feel about it. I'm a big enough man not to care about such trite vanities.

I don't need your love to validate my existence. If you prefer to let your petty jealousies stand in the way of my deserved honors, fine! We'll just go on and I won't say another word on the subject.

But I'm shocked, and yes, a little disappointed in you. No matter. Pretend I didn't say anything. It's nothing to me. Done! Because that's the kind of guy I am. Sometimes I impress myself with my grand mindedness. But I don't forget.

Parallel Universe

Damn, I do not read any of the winners!

Still, why do I get the feeling that I am not missing much?

Well, dude, when you read my blog, you're already getting the best. What more do you need?

But, yeah, blog-mania seems to have passed soemtime ago, and now it's primarily for the hardcore - a niche audience. Most people probably still prefer TV and just go to the Net for porn.

It is truer than you think!

Being friends with you works out very well for me. I do not buy a newspaper nor watch tv. Instead I read the summaries of news items posted by bloggers, and check out the links provided.

Ooh, I actually get a lot of my fun posts from him, so you may see some repeats - that's blog life, rather virus-like. He's a favorite of mine.

Lack of Liberals

``New Media'' is the bastion of the liberals, right?
I do not see the usual gang of suspects like Kos and Huff Post on the list; A. Sullivan is not the most liberal among them.

What gives?

It seems they only gave one award each to the two political wings. Sullivan won the overall category, which might be confusing because he is such a political writer, but he also does a lot of fluffy diversionary fun stuff.

And I suppose one can overstate the liberal dominance anyway, since we are coming out of the Dubya era, which certainly made it easier for more lefty voices to sound out.

The wonder of the Internet, and the blogosphere in particular, is that it's all over the place, from the extreme left to the extreme right, from anarchists to Hitler-ites.

God bless the Internet!

Hmmmm, is it just me or do is there something squeaking in here? :P

The reason I didn't vote is because I was reluctant to share your blog with others outside of LJ. ;)

Oh, ye of little faith... I got the love to spread! :p
