Oh, god, it looks like Mother Grey did drop her kittens elsewhere, but that she is now trying to drag them over here. Outside in the dark morning with Bo, I hear this high kittenish meowing, and then I see Mother Grey coming across Dung Hill Street.
I thought the meow was a little high for her, and then I see a truck driving down the road coming behind her, and the truck brakes. The driver has good eyes! Because then a baby kitten skittered across the street after Mother Grey. Repeatedly, Grey would have to double-back to keep the kitten moving along. I trust the kitten was able to fit through the fence to our yard. If this is what the Mother Grey was going to do, I'd just as soon that she dropped her litter here. Not that we need any more cats!
