Today is Unintended Consequences Day at the Times. Here are a couple of stories of what can happen when good people try to do good things in an often harsh world.

How trying to protect trees can backfire
I guess you learn and keep trying. Virtue never comes easy. It is certainly easier to be cynical and to do nothing. Maybe this is how God tests your mettle. I'll probably stick to blogging, myself.
