Icons are a big part of the LJ fun. You should take advantage of your permanent account, which allows you a few thousand icons, and get at least a few dozen or so. Join a few icon communities! Even if you don't get a lot of them, it's kinda fun to see what these people produce. I enjoy seeing them, as well as helping myself to the occasional one that strikes my fancy.
