Desert Summer

This summer is a return to the summers of old. We had enjoyed a couple of summers where we received enough rain that one hardly needed to water. But the lawn is now starting to crisp without a hint of rain on the sun-dazzled horizon. Monk takes on the burden of watering.

England is not without its enchantments, and we could use some more life-sustaining rain in this desert region of the New World, but I suppose Texas will claim my bones as it has my life...

ahh, just wait hurrican season has yet to hit full swing. half way through we'll both be begging to move to England. it has been raining here everyday.
