Some might like to check out BookSlut.com. Monk read an article in the NY Times on literary websites, and he just likes that name.
One didn't intend to post more than that, but looking a little more at the site, Monk came upon a book review for what looks like an interesting novel, The Discrete Charm of Charlie Monk by David Ambrose. In truth, coming upon the name of Monk got Monk's attention. Yet, that review and the reviews at Amazon.com have sold him.
Is Charlie Monk just a mental patient getting help for amnesia who has fallen into the delusion that he is a James Bond 007 spy, or... is there something to this spy business?
This may not be an altogether original framework, but it's a fun one, and it looks like Mr. Ambrose does a good job with it. Monk is looking forward to it.
