Aren't the Bush daughters a couple of silly twats? I thought their 'speech' was turning into a full-fledged embarrassment, but that the audience was instructed to keep applauding, to give the impression that it was just fun.

At least if we were voting on the basis of the children, one supposes that Kerry should win.

I haven't been watching any of the RNC for fear it will upset my delicate digestive tract. However, I would expect that the Bush girls acted exactly so.

Another reason I came to like John Kerry... any man who raises daughters with as much spirit, poise, and overall smarts as that must be doing many things right. Granted, the Bush girls are younger, but the Kerry girls just seem so much more... luminous.

However, I got into a discussion with one of my work friends about which set of daughters he'd rather bang. See, I thought the obvious thing would be the Kerry girls, but he said he'd go for the Bush twins. I pressed him about why, and the answer was basically that the Kerry girls seem like the type that you'd need to talk to, take out for dinner, and have respect for. The Bush girls, on the other hand, seem more like filthy little whores who are going to end up getting stuffed up every hole and beg for more, than you can ditch them at the motel and never call them again.

Interesting reasoning, but I suspect that ultimately his choice reflects better on the Kerry girls.

I ♥ you, doll! That's hot. Your friend's answer sounds rather perceptive, provided that we understand the men to be of the appropriate family and class. They may be fun little fuckdolls, but I'm sure they have their standards.

Nah, I stand by what my friend said. If he got in the same room as those little twats and was single, he'd be throwing a filthy banging to them in seconds. Especially if they were this drunk.

What? The Bush daughters? At least they're fun. Not to mention rich!

Just having a little raw fun. ;)

Just being tramps. No problem with that. Heh.

Not having watched either set of daughters campaigning for their daddies, I can't comment on your entry proper . . .

But I do love that icon!

There's the transcript. It really is pretty inane. Highlights:

"We realized that this would be his last campaign, and we wanted to be a part of it. Besides, since we've graduated from college, we're looking around for something to do for the next few years. Kind of like dad!"

"Thanks to him, if one of us ever decides to marry a Democrat, nobody can complain, except maybe our grandmother, Barbara. And if she doesn't like it, we would definitely hear about it. We already know she doesn't like some of our clothes, our music, or most of the TV shows we watch. Gammie, we love you dearly, but you're just not very hip. She thinks "Sex and the City" is something married people do, but never talk about."

The whole speech is kind of... I mean. These girls are my age. Born five days after me, in fact (I'm Nov. 20, they're Nov. 25 1981), and I can't speak for their delivery but the whole speech is in my opinion younger than our age.

There were moments in that speech that had me wondering if it wasn't screened and pre-approved, as parts could've been done at the Democratic National Convention mocking Dubya, except that the audience would keep applauding rather than gasping in shock, leading me to accept that it must be cool.

Though, the inanity really stands out. I can only think that they were showing the middle-class electorate that the Republicans aren't stuffy, and as our earlier discussion illustrates, they certainly succeeded at that - seeming like a lot of fun indeed!

My sister shares their birthday, but she's five years younger. . . . And she makes more insightful speeches on a daily basis.

Hey, you should know that you don't have to be all proper and everything at my blog! Just let your hair down and have fun.

Thanks about the icon! The business of icons seems to be an art onto itself. I suppose there's going to be this point where I'll wish that we could have another dozen, and then more and more and more...

Oh, but Monk, your entries are always so serious! All the political stuff, columns, news articles . . . It all makes me think "Eeek! Now I've got to be serious and proper!" That is, if my eyes don't glaze over by the first paragraph of a copied article. :P

You can buy room for more icons, you know!

The material of my entries may be serious, but that is hardly me, which I would think is clear by 'virtue' of my discussions.

Not having a lot of 'life stuff' with which to enrich my blog, I adopted the habit of just catching the news of the time, with politics being my favorite spectator sport. I don't expect my friends to read that stuff, certainly not in the same way one reads another's personal anecdotes. At best, I suppose that a friend or two might find this or that particular item interesting. I even put some stuff on 'private' so as not to crowd others' Friends Pages.

You can buy room for more icons, you know!

I have seen people who have a lot more than the 15 icons, and I was wondering how that was done. I'm not sure if I love icons so much that I would pay for more icon space, but... just in case, can you direct me to where one can read up on that option? I suppose it would be pretty cheap, as the $25 for a year of membership seems very cheap.
