My Mornings
Mar. 7th, 2018 10:43 amAbout ten-thirty in the morning, taking a break from my book, I was planning on lying on my bed and listening to a CD for a few minutes (whether music, my audio journal, or "Lolita", I wasn't sure), but then I decided that I should go outside and walk around for a few minutes instead. After all, I am not that elderly yet, and it is only morning, the most awake and alert part of my day. It is far better to juice up my brain with a little exercise and sunshine, rather than simply lie down and let the cobwebs grow and thicken.
I suppose "The Magic Mountain" has been tempting me again to take up full-time the life of the horizontal. It also doesn't help when you don't have anything meaningful to work on anyway and are feeling a bit depressed. But I still have a little fight in me, and I still fancy being able to come up with an interesting thought every once in a while. No, I definitely should not be giving up my mornings, not yet.
