J. J. Johnson

Johnson album, from back in the '90s, the jazz trumpet player. The title "Vivian" is based on his wife who had recently died. The NPR show "Fresh Air" reviewed the album, and I was intrigued and ordered it. And the mellow jazz numbers are just what I needed.

Ah, browsing through Amazon for some more light jazz, I see that Johnson is not a trumpet player but a trombonist. Okay. I'm glad I finally got that straight. Just call me Mr. Music.
. . .
Ooh, Chet Baker! Yeah, if I am going to actually lay down some cash for jazz, this is probably where it will go.
