Alright, the cops are on it!

When I got out of the shower, I could hear a cacophony of kids shouting and growling. It sounded like a nasty brawl. I first checked to see if they were gang-raping my mailbox, but some other shiny thing had gotten their attention. And then I noticed a cop van driving by in a crawl.

I had felt that we could use a cop patrol during this time of the day when school is in session. These kids really come out of school hepped up.

Cats

The restlessness of the cats tears at my nerves sometimes. I have to remember that although they are not feral, they are still rather wild - half-squirrel.

I'm going outside to take care of the trash and see if it might be dry enough for the cats to go out, but there's little hope in it. We just haven't had the sun.

I might be able to let them go tomorrow, but the thing is, there is a good chance of rain on Thursday. It's kind of a tough time for the cats.

I let them go.

It's definitely wetter than I'd like, but it is not so bad that there wasn't some choice in the matter. With the thought of another front of rain coming, I had to give the the opportunity work out their little beastly energies.

I'm just dreading the prospect of muddy floors and muddy carpets.

Kinison

"Some Sam Kinison. And his marriage face."

Yeah, he came to mind somehow today. I started thinking about comics and queried myself: who would I have liked to see live onstage if I had a ticket for any comic's show. I boiled it down to Kinison and George Carlin. I decided that Kinison might be more fun.

I'm looking at his stuff on YouTube. It's been a long time; so it feels pretty fresh. I completely forgot about his 'marriage face' routine. Good stuff.

Old stuff. I have this weird feeling like I'm on my deathbed remembering stuff from my life. There would be a lot of stuff like this, since I don't really have a lot of personal things that are much worth recalling. TV, movies. Interestingly, I don't think books would make the cut, since as much as I enjoy books, they don't leave as deep and vivid an impression on me. That might just be me, but the want of the visual and the actual sound of voices seems to actually make a difference.
