It looks like my sleep routine is back to normal: a night of broken sleep and waking up late at 8:30. After last night's yard work, I was looking forward to another good night. You really cannot demand a good night's sleep, though. If it comes, it comes, and rarely, and you can only be grateful when it does. ... ... As you might imagine today is kind of a sensitive Trash Day. I am especially anxious that our load gets picked up, but it's after one o'clock now, and I haven't seen or heard a trash truck all day. And it's not as though I missed an important change in schedule: everyone else has their black bin out as well. It's like they picked today to strike. ... ... Bill Clinton, campaigning for Hillary is showing his age, making comments that backfire, but as a sexy commentator on Fox noted, he is teflon: "He may have stepped in it, but there isn't any mess that Clinton makes that the dry-cleaner can't get out." ... ... I have been re-watching season three of "Rectify". It was sort of an accident. I've been back into thinking about movies that I can watch again and again. For instance, I just took in "The Best Offer" again, and I want to make a list of movies that I know I can hit when I want to watch something. The series "Rectify" came to mind, and when I looked it up to see when the promised last season is to begin, I was confused by the information. It sounded like the season might have gone by and that yet another season was beginning. I thought I had only seen two seasons. However, I had seen the third season. Nevertheless, I found myself contentedly absorbed anew in the season and have stuck with it, which will also be a good preparation for the last season that is set to begin this month. I don't know how this show reels me in, but it does. It must have the same sort of magic that Thomas Mann wielded. If I get around to actually composing that list, this show will have to go on it.
