Reading Life
Jul. 10th, 2016 07:01 pmI am fairly tapped out on my little cash stash, down to about ten singles. It has been a long time since I have been this down. When I was browsing through Amazon, I came across "Alter Egos: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and the Twilight Struggle Over American Power" by Mark Landler. He is a New York Times guy with a ringside seat to the Administration, and the book enjoys the high praise from top figures, and the excerpt suggests it is a rather fun narrative-like read. I am also about to finish "Young Joseph", the second book in Mann's tetralogy. So, I thought this inside look at high politics and Obama and Hillary would make a great in-between book. It might be nice to change course in my reading life for a little while, too, and take a little break from Mann.
