Jack and Jill and Everybody

There's Jack walking across the driveway. His skin is so white he practically glows, even on a sunny day. I'm sure the girls like it. Gabe surely would have had him come over to Florida for a week in her bed, though I doubt Jack would have cared to go through so much trouble for an aging Asian woman with a superiority complex - unless he knew I was interested in her.

It's been a pretty sucky day all around for me, with Kay here all day and now Jack and Jill and a couple of others of that clan. I hope Pop and Kay are happy with their new drapes. It strikes me as an awful waste of time and energy, but I guess it is better than seeing them running wild on the streets causing trouble - those rebellious geriatrics who will not go gently into the night. There was one piece of good fortuity in all of this for me. Pop had knocked out the sliding screen-door, and the odds were not good that Pop and I would ever be able to put it back correctly on our own blessed skills and merits. Jill managed to do it. She isn't great, but she is the best fixer-upper that we know. I'm sure Pop also likes getting back a few favors in return for what he does for them.
