Whoa, I came in my shorts! When was the last time that happened? I think you would have to go back to my teens. I guess I lost track and the next thing I knew, I lost control and did not have time to go to toilet paper. I guess I do feel the abstinence of five days. Pop had an early-morning appointment, which afforded me the opportunity to break out the porn.

At least I must be feeling better today. Actually, this morning, I did not think I was a lot better, but maybe I just needed a little exercise. Right now, after another quick shower, I feel like I must be about 85% of myself. I still have to worry about what lunch will do to me, of course.

Pop is back from his appointment. I closed myself off in the big room, nervous that he would complain about the air-conditioner. He just went straight to bed, catching up on his zzz's. It would be an ideal time for my nap, but ... I got a good half-hour of personal energy to burn off. Maybe he is down for a long nap.

I've let time slip away from me. It's not because I have been bed-ridden with fever. It's been a full reading day, intermixed with some Netflix. And it has been a pleasantly eventless day. The cats are inside, because we are still expecting some stormy weather, but I see that has been pushed off to the small hours of the morning, and I would not be surprised to see that vanish as well. Which would be fine. We have had more than our share of autumnal rain, and I'd rather the cats enjoyed the outdoors before the nights turn wintry cold.

Anything interesting about the reading or the shows?, so that we are not limited to a weather & cat report.

I kind of enjoyed "A Long Way Down" (2014). It was about four people who met on the roof of a tall building, coincidentally, all planning to jump and commit suicide. Instead, they become pals and a kind of support group. I should have known it would be more cheery than gloomy, but ... all the goody-goody feelings and the happy ending didn't ruin it for me. It's not a favorite, but I found it passable entertainment.

Lottery

Pop seems to be getting two lottery tickets at a time, now. Until recently, he seemed set on the quasi-respectable habit of getting one ticket, which makes some sense. I wish he accepted my argument, years and years ago, about twenty years, that the second ticket is a pure waste of money. One ticket buys you into the game and a chance to win, assuming a legitimate lottery, but the increase in your chances from getting multiple tickets is so negligible that the second ticket is not even worth a penny. Well, at least he is not getting dozens of tickets.
