WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- The White House said Tuesday that Sen. John Kerry, D- Mass., should apologize to U.S. military personnel for saying that people who aren't successful at school "get stuck in Iraq."

... At a rally Monday for California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides, Kerry said, "if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

-- Wall Street Journal

What kind of fucking moron must Kerry be?? So close to a possbily big Democratic sweep of Congress, Kerry reminds Americans why they distrust Democrats. Why doesn't he just take a big steaming piss on the flag next?

Wow, going by Kerry's press conference, the Democrats have decided to play it strong, even going as far as trying to say that Kerry's remarks were about the people of the Bush Administration not studying hard and getting stuck in Iraq, and not the troops. I don't know... reading Kerry's comment, that seems like a disingenuous sleight of hand, as I believe his comment was more of a casual elitist sneer in promoting education in a joking manner, but Kerry's response may be resting on the popular discontent with the Iraq War. Instead of insisting on an apology from him, Kerry says that McCain should ask for an apology from Rumsfeld and others in the Administration.

At the very least, it seems that the Democrats are trying to shake off the charge of being spineless: Bring it on!

We'll see...
