Clicking around LJ, I see that people are excited about a new game coming out, Assassin's Creed 2, and this set me off to Amazon to browse through its stock of games. It helps that I finished another round of GTA 4 and I don't want to replay Bioshock quite yet. I think I'm pretty set on getting Fallout 3 as soon as I can. At sixty dollars, this is going to take some time.
However, my wandering heart did detour through Sims 3. This has the great appeal that it could help me with my evening problems, being a game for the computer rather than the XBox, and I might find it amusing enough to play the voyeur in that Sims world. The game is very demanding on your system, but I think the chances are good that it will play on my computer. I just don't think it's worth the risk, because the game is really just a high-tech way of playing with dolls, which might be fine with me if nudity and sex were possible, but they aren't.
