Yeah, but I've also felt that if Obama were not black, he would not be the presidential player that he is today. Though, I'm not drawing an equivalence either. Obama is certifiably a brilliant man, which at least opens the door to the possibility that he can well manage the presidency. Palin, on the other hand, may be bright and sharp-witted, but you have to be pretty biased to claim that she is a real intellect, as she seems more like your average joe that humps a BA out of State U. Of course, the appeal of Palin for conservatives lies in her values, and she seems more than competent enough to be a pit bull, with or without lipstick, against liberal fiscal polices and for Christianist goals (in which case it perhaps even helps to be a bit narrow-minded). Well, at least the American experiment is taking an interesting turn this election. I just think I'm going to watch with my eyes closed.
