I'm a good hour late on putting on the air-conditioner. 87 degrees in the house already! I was too wrapped up in an extended wank session this morning. In some respects I am still like a 30-something. I'm glad, at least, to notice that the ants are no longer running around on my bedroom carpet. This house is barely winning the battle against the outdoors. I just hope it can hold out long enough for Pop and me to finish our lives. It's not that much longer.

Twitter

My Twitter account is no longer suspended. They recently got more restrictive again about letting non-members have free access across their site, and so I tried my account to see if anything was happening on that front, to see if they might be loosening the leash a little bit.

They did put in a more user-friendly process to appeal a suspension, and my account was unlocked within the hour. It does make following my favorite Twitter accounts easier, but I cannot see myself using it on a more personal and serious level. When I feel like baring my soul, I have my blog, which is not limited to a few dozen characters and makes all entries easily accessible.

I wish the celebrities and news agencies had turned to an LJ-type site for what they do on Twitter, so that we were talking about blurts rather than tweets. It's a much more open format for it, but this is the way it is. For now, I am 're-tweeting' my favorite tweets, just to do something while I am there, but I might even stop doing that. If I were more of a wisecracker, I might run with it there and show off my pithy wit, but that's not really me. I cut a vein and spill some soul on the page, and Twitter doesn't feel like a site for that.
