We're in the kitchen. I am making my chili, and Pop is preparing his coffee. He notes the wind kicking up. Yeah, it sounded to me like rain.
Falling leaves?
To me it does feel like we could still be in autumn. It feels like winter blew by us. March already?
Then it occurs to me that we never seemed to have a really big leaf-falling. This confuses me. Because our trees certainly went bald. But there was never that heavy accumulation of leaves in our yard. I remember well that there were some significant clutterings of leaves, but in years past the back yard would look and feel like it was buried under a foot of snow, such that I would feel moved to scoop up some trash-cans full of leaves before mowing. But not this year. The climate really is changing.
