I never managed to become a Stephen King fan. I read only a couple of his offerings back in college days, and I enjoyed them enough, but I was not moved to continue exploring the oeuvre. Nevertheless, the name and the man somehow found a place in my mindscape. Whenever he comes up in the news or in articles, I snap to attention as though I were a great fan. I have even dreamed of him.
