“Hug me till you drug me, honey;
Kiss me till I’m in a coma:
Hug me, honey, snuggly bunny;
Love’s as good as soma.”
-- “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley
That cute little song comes near the end; so, I’m running out of book. And my special, special Christmas present is probably still a good week away from being delivered. But I have a plan.
Ever since I first got and read Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol” about six years ago, I meant to make rereading it a Christmas tradition, but it never worked out, as I always seemed to be wrapped up in another book, and then the Christmas season is past. Well, I should be able to get around to it this year! It will buy me another few days.
