I'd hate to let the camel's nose in the tent. Once they have a right to effectively regulate content, we are vulnerable to them exercising more power later.
For instance, I think Turner/Warner owns my Internet, and they are pretty big on being family friendly, and it is easy for me to see how they would be willing to go beyond just favoring some sites, such as its own CNN offerings, but to derailing the porn sites, and they would only get cheers from mainstream America. I'm not too crazy about majority rule when it comes to free speech.
So long as you have broadband, everything loads pretty quickly. I think they just want to censor.
