I don't understand. Did the Americans try it first in Europe, perhaps because of the relatively diverse countries, instead of just trying it at home? Or did Europe fail to really take off with the Internet and the Americans got it flying?
As for the War on Porn, what concerns me is that, as the article also points out, the more fetishistic stuff is perhaps still vulnerable today, such as hard BDSM.
