Blurty is Monk's first love. That said, the temptations, as well as the generous peer pressure, has moved him to get an account at what may be the mother of all these related blog sites: LiveJournal. Although one was given to thinking of this as going over to the enemy, the desire is now to see this as one big, extended family. Awww...
The intention is simply to cross-post everything from Blurty to LiveJournal, in the happy event that Monk should re-gain some inspiration to write, as he hasn't even been moved to memorialize items from the news these days. Still, if anyone there wants to 'friend' our primate-protagonist at LJ, the username is an old favorite screen name: hardblue. Monk will search out those who he knows has a claim staked at LJ.
To close on a sardonically funny note, while jumping through the hoops at LJ to establish his account, Monk would keep getting the "page cannot be displayed" notice, and it would take ages for a page to open when it could be displayed. He was practically chuckling to the point of tears, "It's the same shit!"
Though, you supposedly can pay LJ for faster service. And one hastens to add that Monk appreciates the free service. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, having the economist's wisdom that there is no such thing as a free lunch, he appreciates what we get at these blog sites.
