Smith was the author of the Stop Online Piracy Act, and it is good to see that democracy yet lives in the land. Further consideration of the proposed legislation has been delayed indefinitely. Of course, this was only round one, but one likes to think that it is not naive folly to hope that they can tighten any new legislative proposals without destroying the free and wild Internet as we have known and loved it.
