One of those nights that promised storms, with an 80% chance from midnight on, but came to nothing. I let the cats go at six. It was still dark enough to enjoy some night life, I suppose. I was thinking that some rain was still coming, as there were two days of storms forecasted at 90%, but checking the forecast, I now see that it has all been called off. I swear, we might as well consult Tarot cards for weather forecasts.

After calling off the rain, now it storms and even hails. Beautiful. Fortunately, I had the cats back in the house.

Such beautiful breezes after this morning's storm. I have to open Arthudo's bedroom window. He practically keeps his window sealed up, and it takes some effort to clear the way and open that window. It's worth it for these wonderful house-air clearing winds, sweetening the air in the house. We actually could use a whole spring house-cleaning. In her younger days, Teri would do it too. We could use some rug-beating, carpet cleaning, curtain changing, not to mention a good mopping and a thorough dusting - to freshen up home life. Of course, it's unclear how much longer we will even need a house. These aren't young days for anyone.
