Amazon Prime got a new cache of old movies. I just watched "The Last Seduction", starring Linda Fiorentino. I remember the hubbub when the movie premiered on cable. They tried to get the movie eligible for the Oscars, because they felt Fiorentinio's performance was strong enough to possibly win the Best Actress award. The plan didn't work, though. The movie had already aired on cable, which disqualified it from the Oscars.

I only mention this because I was taken aback to see how old the movie is, from 1994, from almost twenty-five years ago. I was still only a few years home from college, and a good decade away from entering the Internet age and my Blurty years. I should be over these little 'old age' shocks by now, and I largely am. But it can still come at me from a funny angle, so that I can really feel it down deep, the emptiness of all those years. I suppose the regret and its pain will finally die only when I die.
