I have been looking forward to HBO's "Westworld" redux. But now I see this in a review: 'In general, the nudity is more clinical than titillating, mostly relegated to the gloomy laboratories as well as the trailers. “The sex and violence is easy to market, but it’s not the stuff that’s very interesting,” Mr. Abrams said.' [NYT]. As per our cultural epoch, this promises to be a very politically correct and feminist show. There will be nudity, but it will be empowering for women. Well, I'm certainly going to give the show a shot, but I'm not very excited about it. Sex and violence is not very interesting?? Really! It seems as though it is much too interesting, judging by how it is always a very sensitive issue and pretty much censored. ... ... At about one o'clock in the morning, I woke up to Coco's meowing. She was in the middle of her water & litter-box run. Then, to my happy surprise, she went to the kitchen sliding-door. I rushed to open the door for her, and then I rushed back to bed. I wasn't going to stand around for a few minutes to see whether she just wanted a little fresh air. I badly wanted to be able to sleep in peace without worrying about her pissing all over the house, not to mention being woken up every couple of hours by her meowing rounds. However, I wasn't having much luck with my sleep, and about an hour later, I got up to see if she might be at the door with her face pressed at the glass desperate to be let back in. She wasn't, though. She was actually in the cat bin lying on its rug very prettily. I slept better after that. I'm thinking about making this a nightly habit, whether she wants it or not. Fortunately, we are enjoying some lovely weather. I am even thinking about doing this for our grocery rounds tomorrow. You see, Coco is not so strong now as to make the rounds by herself all the time. A lot of times, I carry her to the litter box. This also has the advantage of making sure that she actually uses the box rather than pissing beside it, leaving a mess for me to clean up. I cannot be here for her tomorrow, and Kay's presence might be an extra obstacle for her.
