I got around to mowing the lawn. It was Pop's announcement that he would leave tomorrow to spend a couple of days at Kay's place that gave me an extra charge of can-do energy, and now I am in that happy position from which I can say that it is behind me. When Pop later came home with a load of porterhouse steaks, I could feel as though it were an informal reward of sorts. Making it perfect, I will finish up bingeing on Amazon's "Mad Dogs", a series about a group of middle-age men getting together for a little sun & fun in Belize, but then becoming ensnared in some nasty drug business. Although the show has started to get too randomy by mid-season, it's keeping my interest, but then I have been in desperate need for a show since I finished "The West Wing". I have been making do with Chomsky speeches on YouTube. Oh, yeah, Pop also got cake. So, tomorrow, it is cake and steak and a few episodes of "Mad Dogs". That is as good as it gets for me.
