Over the past couple of days, I have been struggling anew about what to read at that brain benumbed time in the late evening to sleep, when it is too early to go to bed but one is no longer up to serious reading, since my original plan to bring back light fiction and drama did not work out for me. It occurred to me that what I really need is a lot more material for my hardcopy journal, for that is the perfect material for such moods, and what I should do is speed up the pace in building it up. Still, it will take time build up the little mountain of my favorite journal entries to read over and over again, without getting tired of it, and I remembered that I do have other options besides pop-fiction and Shakespeare. I think I can go for some Homer, the Iliad. I am only on book two from the last time I took it up. That should buy me a lot of time to build up my hardcopy journal.

Pop's Memorandum
Dec. 5th, 2015 10:49 pmPop needed to type out his report on losing his military I.D. card. Computers no longer seem to come with a free word-processing program. You have to pay for one. Fortunately, Google offers one at no charge, but Pop cannot remember his password. So, I set up a document for him from my account. Later, when he needed help to have it printed, I went ahead and did a little revising on his spelling and verb tenses, with a little help on a few phrases. I did not raise it up to college level composition, but at least he does not look like an illiterate retard now. It only took a couple of minutes.
