Monk thought that he was going to have to let this day pass in Blurty silence, so adventurous the life of our primate-protagonist. However, in one of these nice online discussions, he gets this response, while they were talking about how soulfully close relationships can be.
God, the eyes mist, and the heart throbs in one's throat! But, no, it just isn't true that everyone gets that something special sometime in their life. Life just doesn't come with that kind of guarantee. As Benjamin Franklin said, there are only two absolute guarantees in life: death and taxes.
Though, it would be an overstatement to say that Monk knows nothing of that. After all, he does enjoy something of the sort with Little Bear. And he is damn glad to have that!
