Obama's Stand at Osawatomie

Obama gave a big speech this week, assuring liberals that their arguments and fulminations have not been in vain, as he took up the Theodore Roosevelt mantle in arguing for a better balanced capitalism. The Republicans, predictably enough, see it as a socialist cry to eat the rich. So, the battle lines for the 2012 election are drawn. It is the same ideological battle that we have been fighting since Ronald Reagan won the White House. It will be interesting to see how it plays in this weakened economy with Obama in the incumbent position.
