Every time I watch "Fahrenheit 451", I get the strong urge to memorize a book. This time I'm feeling it pretty bad. Thinking about a Shakespeare play, since it's poetic form would ease memorization.
"Romeo and Juliet" first captured my imagination, as I am a sucker for its sweet treatment of young love. But considering the time and effort that would go into it, the play then seems too airy a confection, and the more conventional choice comes to mind: Hamlet.
Well, no matter. The project would have to come out of my reading life, and I cannot see reducing that by much, considering all that I am anxious to read. The whole idea is doubtlessly just a midsummer night's dream. But such an enchanting dream.
