Waking Up Besides Bo

Upon getting up at six-thirty, I am surprised to see that Bo is still asleep on the mattress beside me, as he was when we first went to bed last night. You would have to go back to the puppy days for the last time this happened.

I would like to think that this is because of a new wave of fond affection for his master, and not because of the ants. Even so, he could have slept in his den in the bathroom where he lies even now.

There is also the morbid thought that this is just a case of life coming full circle, with Bo revisiting his puppy days before he dies.

Lost in Troy

After dinner,
skimming through my Friends Page
taking a reading break from the Iliad,
I see a post about "Beowulf",
a new movie coming out.

I remember
back in the early days when my reading life was taking off
and I was taking a look at all the renowned classics,
I gave "Beowulf" a look but found it easy to pass by.

Funny
that I should come across this ad reading the Iliad.
You cannot beat the original.

Of all the ancient lore
my heart is lost in Troy.
