Liberals/Progressives, especially the Internet kind, are getting cocky after the elections that have turned over the House and the Senate to the Democrats. Apparently, they are now going after moderate Democrats who do not follow in lock-step formation the leftist line. Beware of incurring the typing wrath of Progressive bloggers!

Cripes, those elections were all about the Bush hate over Iraq, not some real ideological turnover.

I imagine this is why the Democrats cannot look forward to remaining a majority power, complete with a hold on the White House. Americans are more tolerant of right-wing, Christianist extremism than they are of left-wing, blame America first, pacifist, socialist extremism.

Well, as they say, power corrupts. Too bad. I think we could use some liberal correction in the steering of this ship of state. Maybe the Democrats can keep from shooting themselves in their political excitement? Hah!

Watering

Looking at the hay that we have for a lawn, Monk sees that it is time to start watering - last night's rain was no more than a brief drizzle. Watering seems more sensible now that even the mornings are warming up, even though it is early in the year.
