Andrew Sullivan brought up this Christian Rock video bashing gays. Personally, I think this singer is waging a losing war against gaydom, so that maybe he needs to find a new religion:

God Should Hate Idiots

Marie Claire magazine: What do you say to Muslim women who fight for the right to wear the head scarf?

Ayaan Hirsi Ali: I say that's fine - unless you impose your personal choice on others. If you wear the veil, the message you convey is that you're superior to women who do not, because you're saying they are whores. You're also saying men are incapable of sexual self-restraint, and that if they see women who are partly covered or not veiled, they will react like my grandmother's he-goat.

Actually, I think they may have a point about the men, but scarves and covering up is not the answer. You just gotta go with the power.

monk222: (Little Bear)

Maybe Monk should take it easy about lying down and drowsing at will. That could play havoc with his biorhythms, and he has been struggling a little as it is with his regular nocturnal sleep.

If it were not for Bo, this probably wouldn't matter at all, and Monk could just hang free letting things fall as they fall. One has to wake up early to let Bo take care of business. Bo is about the last thing that instills a little discipline on Monk. What we do for love?

“I’m working on the third Nina Zero story, provisionally titled BURNING GARBO. Nina rescues a toothless Rottweiler from a brush fire in Malibu, and the dog turns out not only to be the clue to who set the fire and why, but the key to her learning about loyalty and trust. My great-grandfather always used to say that if you have problems getting along with people, you should get a dog. Nina finds that to be good advice.”

-- Robert M. Eversz

Mr. Eversz is, of course, the author of the Nina Zero books that Monk has come to love. That quote is from an interview he gave to Jon Jordan of Mystery One Bookstore. I was cruising the Internet and decided to look deeper into Monk's latest literary obsession. I know that toothless Rott well from the last two books in the series, and I look forward to meeting him in his introduction to the series.
