My Dick

I dreamed that my dick looked like it was bit by a hobo or recluse spider, as some of the skin around the head looked black and dead. I dreamed this not once but twice. I would have to lose my dick! I was afraid to check it for real this morning.

In the dream, Monk approached Pop. Pop was busily talking about what he and Vic have planned, and Monk said, "I have one more thing to throw at you." He needs to see a doctor, but he wakes up before he manages to ask.

“G.O.P. Moves Fast to Reignite Issue of Gay Marriage”

-- Sheryl Gay Stolberg for The NY Times

That's the headline for a story about the re-energizing of the Republican campaign in the aftermath of that recent New Jersey court decision upholding gay rights with respect to marital benefits. It is always nice to see our politics sticking to the high ground.

There is a certain poetic irony in this. After all, it was a gay scandal that gave rise to Democratic hopes for taking over Congress, and now it is the promise of greater gay rights that could upset those hopes. We, as a country, have a lot of serious gay issues to work out. Then maybe we can become more secure in our manhood.
