George Will: Baseball and the Fun of Sins
Oct. 15th, 2006 12:00 pm♠
“Sins can be such fun. Of the seven supposedly deadly ones, only envy does not give the sinner at least momentary pleasure.”
-- George F. Will for The Washington Post
One might not expect such a juicy attitude from someone as dry and droll as George Will, but there it is. Of course, he would be talking about baseball - something about the Yankees losing out again and how baseball is doing better than ever now that it is more competitive. Whatever. Without cheerleaders in little skirts, I don't know how much hope there can be for a sport.
