Pounding Deep Throat

For those who are not in 'the know,' there was a big to-do about the definitive porn classic, Deep Throat, revolving around a new documentary on the making of that movie. The only reason this isn't posted privately for Monk's own amusement is that great quote - regardless of what we might always be told about pornography. There is a role for fantasy, and some of us could use it more than others.

First Mowing

"Shit!" Monk muttered when he went out with Little Bear for the days's first rounds, as it was drizzling again. He was counting on mowing the front this afternoon, before an expected renewal of a rainy spell tomorrow.

However, it wasn't difficult for him to get comfortable with putting the work off. In addition to his laziness, his hair was very dry after bathing Little Bear yesterday.

Regardless, the sun then came out in full force and all was dry again. However, Monk was feeling weakish in the early noon. Since his hair was so dry, he was willing to gamble that tomorrow would still be fit for mowing.

Fortunately, by the late afternoon, he was feeling good enough to think that it was a good idea to get some work done. And it was a good idea not to take unnecessary chances with Texas weather. So, the first mowing of the year was done.

As Monk takes the mower back, Stormy Dreamer is seated on the patio at her corner, smoking her cigarette, "Mowing already?" She knew the front was getting quite shaggy in parts, and she was glad that her son took care of it without any prompting.

He says, "Yeah, but I suppose we may still get a cold front or two. It's probably not time for regular mowing yet."

She nods as she takes another drag.
