Fucktard Slimes the KING

Elvis is the greatest sellout in American history.
Not just in the history of rock-and-roll, mind you. He's the greatest sellout, period.
-- "Elvis, One for the Money: the King of Rock Sold His Soul for a Song" by David Segal for The Washington Post
Envy is such a pitiable spectacle. What a shame that a previously reputable paper should yield some of its space to the cloying naivete of Mr. David Segal.
Although Mr. Segal demonstrates some sanity by acknowledging that Elvis "was a celestial, once-in-a-century talent," he exhausts his powers of insight by going on and on about how Elvis, get this, was in it for the money! I'm shocked, shocked - in show business?!
For crying out loud, the man was born in Mississippi poverty and rose from the white trash projects of Tennessee to become the King of Rock-n-Roll and a legend the world is not likely to forget. Although Monk has also regretted how much Elvis may have short-changed his legacy, what Elvis accomplished and left behind is incomparable and invaluable - and priceless.
( Segal crap )
