Hungry Romance

The picture below comes from A.O. Scott's movie review for Code 46. The movie is in the line of those dystopian near futures, with a highly regimented privileged inner-society in the midst of an overpopulated and impoverished hell.
It sounds like the movie is fairly mediocre. Monk just loves the picture, striking him as being so sensuously romantic. Perhaps the stark surroundings bring out that desperate quality of the romance.
